PLAYSTATION 4 GAMES TO RUN ON PLAYSTATION NOW AND WINDOWS

When the PlayStation 4 rolled out from Sony few years back, gamers worldwide were ushered into a new era of gaming. Many of us thought that PCs would soon become obsolete in the gaming competition. Contrary to what we thought, Sony has upped its game once again to accommodate PC gamers. How did they do that?

Earlier this year, Sony promised gamers around the world to bring PlayStation 4 games to PlayStation Now subscribers on both Windows and PlayStation 4 platforms. On 6th July, Sony rolled out 20 new games in fulfilment to their promise.

PlayStation Now’s library has hit an amazing 500+ games in the last few months and that brings a great variety of games to try-out all in one simple subscription. Now, with a single click on your PC or the push of a button on your PlayStation, you can access hundreds of PlayStation games on your preferred console or platform.

Here are Sony’s first releases for PlayStation Now

  • God of War 3 Remastered
  • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
  • WWE 2K16
  • Tropico 5
  • Ultra Street Fighter IV
  • F1 2015
  • Darksiders II Deathfinitive Edition
  • Evolve
  • MX vs ATV Supercross Encore
  • Resogun Helldivers
  • Broken Age
  • Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition
  • Grim Fandango Remastered
  • Akiba’s Beat
  • Castlestorm Definitive Edition
  • Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
  • Nidhogg
  • Super Mega Baseball

As observed, all released titles are relatively old games. PlayStation Network boss Eric Lempel has said that, “At this point, we’re not looking to debut new content in PS Now. We do want to continue to promote the PlayStation 4 front line releases and typical software lifecycle. But we also haven’t set any firm criteria around titles can come into the service. Sony is open to exploring timeframes.”

It has been confirmed that additional titles are set to appear monthly along with subscription updates. As at the publication of this post, subscriptions run for $99.99 for a year or 19.99 per month. Newbies have a $9.99 subscription for the first month. Existing subscribers get the PlayStation 4 titles free.
