Following his side’s 2-1 win on Saturday over Chelsea FC in the English FA Cup Finals, Arsene Wenger has entered the record books as the most successful manager in FA cup history after leading Arsenal to lift the trophy for the 13th time.
Stunning goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey saw the gunners secure their title with Ramsey hitting the winning goal after Chelsea’s forward Diego Costa equalized.
This has put Wenger on the records of the oldest club competition in the football world.
Wenger now has seven FA cup titles under his belt more than any other manager in the FA Cup’s 143 years of existence.
He lifted the trophy first in the 1997-98 football season and went on to lift the cup again in 2001-02, 2002-03, 2004-05, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2016-17. he now has a total of ten trophies as the manager of the Gunners.
The Gunners also entred the record book as the most successful team in the competition with 13 titles followed by Manchester United with 12 titles.
